Playa La Saladita, Guerrero, Mexico · 5–9 November 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for the Saladita Retreat ("the Retreat") organised by Charlie Davies and Josh Plotkin ("we", "us", "the Organisers"). By paying for a booking you ("the Guest", "you") accept these terms in full on behalf of yourself and anyone you book for. Your contract is with the Organisers, not with the hotel.
Full payment is due at booking and confirms your place. Rooms are allocated in the order payments are received. A booking is not confirmed until payment has cleared and we have confirmed it in writing.
Prices are per person and depend on room type and occupancy (shared or single). The price applies to the full 4-night stay; no reduction is available for late arrival, early departure or unused nights or services.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors and to decline any booking.
Included: 4 nights' accommodation (5–9 November 2026); daily breakfast (08:00–12:00); welcome drink; daily yoga sessions; group airport transfers (Zihuatanejo/ZIH at scheduled times); 10% discount on hotel spa and wellness services; beach club and common-area access.
Not included: flights; travel insurance; meals other than breakfast; drinks; spa treatments; surf lessons or equipment; laundry, minibar, room service and other hotel incidentals; anything not expressly listed as included.
We contract and pay for the entire property in advance under a group contract with fixed, non-refundable commitments. For this reason, all payments are non-refundable once made.
Your place is fully transferable at no cost: if you find someone to take your place, or we re-fill it from our waiting list, we will refund you the amount your replacement pays, up to what you paid. We will make reasonable efforts to help re-fill a cancelled place but cannot guarantee it.
Name changes and room changes must be requested no later than 1 October 2026. The hotel requires final guest details 30 days before arrival, and changes after that date cannot be guaranteed and may incur hotel charges, which will be passed on to you.
Failure to arrive (no-show) is charged at 100% with no refund, as the hotel charges us in full for unused rooms.
If we cancel the Retreat for any reason other than force majeure, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid to us. This refund is the limit of our liability: we are not responsible for flights, insurance or any other costs booked separately.
If the Retreat is prevented or materially disrupted by events beyond our or the hotel's reasonable control (including natural disasters, hurricanes, government actions, epidemics or public-health emergencies, strikes or transport shutdowns), the hotel's contract provides for rescheduling or credit toward a future stay rather than cash refunds. In that event we will pass on to you, proportionally, any credit, rescheduled stay or recovery the hotel provides to us, but we cannot provide cash refunds of sums we cannot recover. This risk is insurable — see Section 6.
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of booking. Your policy must cover trip cancellation and curtailment, medical treatment abroad and repatriation, and should cover flight disruption and personal belongings. We may ask for evidence of cover. If you travel without adequate insurance, you do so at your own risk and we accept no responsibility for losses insurance would have covered.
You are responsible for holding a passport valid for your stay, any visas or permits required for entry to Mexico, and compliance with entry requirements. No refund is due if you cannot travel for documentation reasons.
You must provide full legal names (as per passport), arrival/departure information and any relevant medical or dietary information by 1 October 2026.
Maximum occupancy is two registered guests per room (subject to hotel bedding configuration). Rooms are for registered guests only; the hotel may restrict or charge for unregistered visitors.
We may reassign rooms where required by the hotel, provided you receive a room of equal or higher category.
Check-in from 15:00; check-out by 12:00. Late check-out is subject to hotel availability; staying beyond the permitted time may incur an additional night's charge by the hotel, payable by you.
All incidental charges you incur at the hotel — including food and drink beyond breakfast, bar, spa, laundry, minibar, room service, telephone, transportation, activities and similar — must be settled by you directly with the hotel at check-out. The hotel does not accept personal, traveller's or third-party cheques.
Under our group contract we are jointly liable to the hotel for any guest's unpaid balance. If the hotel charges us for any amount you owe (including incidentals, damage or penalties), you agree to reimburse us in full on demand.
You are responsible for the care of your room, its contents and the hotel's facilities. You must review the room inventory presented at check-in and report any damage or faults immediately.
You are liable for the cost of repair or replacement of any damage, breakage, loss or missing items attributable to you, charged in accordance with the hotel's inventory. Furniture must not be moved out of rooms. Lost keys are charged at MXN $200.
You must comply with the hotel's house rules and operational policies, respect the peaceful enjoyment of the property by other guests and the surrounding community, and comply with Mexican law at all times.
Speakers and amplified music in rooms, terraces or common areas are subject to hotel policy. Drones and professional filming or photography equipment require the hotel's prior written authorisation. Smoking is subject to hotel policy.
The hotel reserves the right to refuse service or remove guests for illegal, dangerous or seriously disruptive behaviour. If you are removed or excluded on these grounds, no refund is due and we accept no liability.
Our group holds the hotel's accommodation inventory, but the Retreat is not an exclusive buy-out of the property: the hotel's restaurant, beach club and common areas remain open and may be used by other guests and members of the public.
Yoga, surfing, swimming and all ocean and beach activities are voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. The ocean carries inherent risks, and lifeguard services should not be assumed. You are responsible for judging your own fitness and ability.
You must tell us before the Retreat about any medical condition, injury, pregnancy or allergy relevant to your participation, and inform the instructor before any session. Instructors may adapt or decline your participation on safety grounds.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume the risks inherent in these activities and release the Organisers from liability for injury arising from your voluntary participation, except where caused by our negligence.
We act as organisers of a retreat package supplied in part by third parties (including the hotel and transfer providers). We will exercise reasonable skill and care in selecting and coordinating them, but we are not liable for their acts or omissions, nor for events beyond our reasonable control.
We are not liable for loss of or damage to money, valuables or personal property, nor for costs arising from flight delays or cancellations, border decisions, weather or ocean conditions.
Except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you in connection with the Retreat is limited to the amount you paid to us.
We may make minor changes to the schedule, activities or inclusions (for example, session timings or the assigned yoga space) and will tell you about significant changes as soon as reasonably possible. Where a significant change materially reduces what you have paid for and no reasonable alternative is provided, we will offer a fair partial refund of amounts paid to us.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. These terms and our booking confirmation are the entire agreement between us. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes are subject to the courts of California.
